Inspired by moving to the land of opportunity, Alma followed her dream and attended the International Academy of Design and Technology in Tampa, FL. An internship with a bridal designer led Alma to her own budding career in the fashion industry. In February 2013, Alma debuted her first bridal collection, which was favorably received by some of the nation's leading media sources including the Associated Press, ABC, NBC, CBS, The Huffington Post, The Tampa Tribune, Fox News etc.

Alma's career in fashion is enriched by a strong dedication to philanthropic efforts, one of which is growing the fashion industry. In an effort to help young designers with starting and running their businesses, she founded the Fashion Industry Association, a Florida non-profit organization with members in fashion, beauty, photography and modeling.
